The Village - Residence & Spa

The Village - Residence & Spa is a resort with 45,691m2 with an approval of 18,192m2 of construction area which consists of 115 apartments in total (97 two bedroom units and 18 three bedroom units) and 12 townhouses and is to be found in the area of Alvor, a charming Portuguese town, situated on the apex of the golden triangle of the southern Algarve, between Portimão and Lagos, with Ria de Alvor and Meia-Praia beaches offering a wonderful background.
Starting in Lagos, an old city with international flair and particular beauty, evident history, a wonderful bay and pleasant marina, we reach Meia-Praia, a large beach with fine white sand. The sand-hills and golden paths along the beach stretching as far as the wonderful Ria de Alvor are an extraordinary background for quiet walks, glorious beach time, horse riding or golf with incredible atmosphere and views.

The estuary of Alvor is an area of tides, unique and unrepeatable, a very rich bio system, protected by the European network, Natura 2000. For more then two hundred species this area is a natural habitat, nesting place and land reserved for migratory birds to rest on their long transcontinental flights. For those who love bird watching, this bio system between tides is a place of special importance. Here there is very often the possibility of watching several rare species like the stilts, herons and wonderful flamingos. The estuary is also a protected place for a large diversity of other animal and vegetal species, which live in a balanced and dynamic way together with fishermen and people looking for shellfish. In this protected and attractive area, we can also discover interesting water routes both by canoe or sailing boat.

Once we are at the marina and at the haven of Portimão, we can take a trip to Madeira or Canaries Islands, sailing or take a yacht to admire the lovely dolphins or deep sea fishing. The international cruisers, that land in Portimão’s port of call give the city and the famous Praia ad Rocha a cosmopolitan flair, letting no wish demanded by an active lifestyle out of living. Tasting healthy and good eating and local wines, observing cliffs shaped by the sea, delighting the sun at the sheltered beaches, looking at the sea splashed with sail yachts from all over the world and local boats with strong colours contrasting with the blue sky and the water greens is an unequalled happy experience, in winter as well as in summer.
